Client: Affinz (formerly Sorocred)

Role: Conception, Facilitation, and Tool Design (Mirador / Estúdio Ó!)

The Challenge Affinz (formerly Sorocred) invited Mirador — Estúdio Ó!’s strategic consultancy — to democratize innovation within its corporate structure. The challenge was to demystify complex concepts and empower employees to tackle real business dilemmas in a collaborative, user-centric way, overcoming cultural barriers and stimulating new ways of thinking about the future of financial services.

The Solution & Strategy The journey was designed in two complementary, high-immersion stages:

  1. Sorocred +Futuro Lecture: Held in a relaxed environment, this talk served as a mental trigger. We addressed the evolution of industrial revolutions and the impact of technology, sparking reflections on the irreplaceable role of human creativity and empathy in automated corporate contexts.

  2. Sorocred Faça+ Workshop: A full day of hands-on Design Thinking immersion. The activity was structured around real daily business challenges defined together with the employees, such as:

    • “How can we make people better understand Sorocred’s products?”

    • “How can we implement a culture of innovation within the company?”

How we worked (Methodology) Participants were divided into multidisciplinary groups and guided by Mirador’s exclusive Gamified Toolkit. The process followed four fundamental stages:

  • Empathy Map: Deep investigation into who the customer is, what they see, hear, feel, and what their pain points are.

  • Customer Journey: Mapping touchpoints and identifying critical opportunities for improvement.

  • Ideation Session: Using card decks and brainstorming techniques to generate solutions without prior judgment.

  • Rapid Prototyping & Storytelling: Teams built low-fidelity physical prototypes to materialize their ideas. Finally, they used role-playing and dramatization to present their proposals, reinforcing the lesson that innovation also requires knowing how to tell great stories and communicate value clearly.

Results & Learning The project delivered more than just concepts; it provided a new way of solving problems based on experimentation and psychological safety. Engagement was total, with positive feedback on the tools’ applicability. Affinz strengthened its competitiveness by internalizing that continuous innovation stems from a real understanding of customer needs and practice-oriented teamwork.
